Women's Ministry Team

REPORTS TO:  Deacon of Women’s Ministry

PURPOSE:  To create a cohesive community of women within our church and beyond by being the hands and feet of Christ, helping each and every woman see their value in Christ and equipping and empowering them to further His kingdom.

ORGANIZATION/MEMBERS/STRUCTURE: 

• Bible Study Teacher
• Bible Study Host
• Women at the Well planning team 
• Volunteer Service Projects planning team  

TERM OF SERVICE:

• Volunteers have no time limit on service

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• All Bible Study Leaders must be active members of Lighthouse and approved by the elders of the church.
• Volunteers must have a heart for service and must be available to plan/attend.  

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Bible Study Leaders lead a weekly gathering of women through a book of the Bible. Studies are usually 6-8 weeks long.
• Bible Study Hosts open up their homes for bible study groups, oftentimes providing food and/or drink, as well. 
• Women at the Well planning team meets 1-2 times each quarter to plan our quarterly Women at the Well gatherings. Planning includes venue, food/menu, craft/game, testimony, and theme. 
• Volunteer Service Project planning team meets a few times a year to plan quarterly volunteer service projects within our community. 

SCRIPTURE: So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. (Colossians 2:6-7)
